Springmakers

Kiveton Park Steel manufactures a comprehensive range of wire and bar in round and shaped alloy and engineering steels for the manufacture of hot and cold coiled springs for critical applications.

Typical grades supplied are Chrome, Chrome Vanadium, Silicon Chrome and Silicon Chrome Nickel to European, American and British Standards with bespoke variations if required. In – line surface defect testing is used extensively to help eliminate the risk of harmful surface defects in the finished products.

Kiveton Park Steel provides Spheroidise Annealing through a continuous atmosphere controlled furnace giving consistency in cold coiling performance with minimum decarburisation.

Where necessary customised stocks of finished or part finished material are held to meet the service requirements in the supply chain schedules.

Wire is supplied in coils in diameters up to 35mm and can also be supplied spinner straightened and cut to length throughout the range. Bar is available up to 75mm dia and can be supplied in the ground condition with additional off – line ultrasonic inspection for more sensitive applications.

Square section bar is available in both the annealed and drawn condition and hardened & tempered condition in a variety of materials.

Special procedures developed through years of experience ensure all products are protected from any damage due to mishandling. The operations team within Kiveton Park Steel works closely with both customers and suppliers to develop comprehensive supply specifications to provide a quality assured product with a full service package.
